MIFF CELEBRATES 10 YEARS AND HONORS A SMALL GROUP OF FILMMAKERS
This November 14-15th marks the tenth anniversary of the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival and it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser! This year's festivities will be held at the beautiful Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10 and will feature new cutting edge international films, independent films from Florida and American filmmakers.
Karen Michel, producer of Widowmaker and The Rules, took home the Crystal Apple Award two years in a row and will be among the small group of filmmakers to be recognized for achievement.

Karen, also a former Raiderette, was asked to lead a cheer after Widowmaker won the Crystal Apple Award and Best Musical Score.
To share the honors were Peter Rocca (director) Chel Hamilton ( co-writer) Jerry Manthey (lead actor) and Terry Cronin (founder of MIFF)
